When you step into a pumpkin patch, you’re greeted with the earthly scent of pumpkins, rustic cornstalks, the vibrant sea of orange, white and green gourds as far as the eye can see.  It’s like a sensory playground!

As a lover of yoga and powerwalking, I appreciate the opportunity to be out in this playground of rural settings where I can breathe the fresh air and soak up the sun. 

In addition to reveling in the crisp fall air, it’s a time for memories to be made.  Pumpkin patches provide the perfect backdrop for quality family time – whether you’re navigating the corn mazes, picking out the perfect pumpkin or boarding the hay rides for a tour through the patch, it’s a bonding bonanza. 

I don’t know about you, but I end up coming home with a pumpkin that’s way too big, about 1,000 new photos of my kids in my phone (you know cause they have to take pictures with every face cut-out thingy & the 500 pumpkins they want to take home too), and some yummy treats that won’t make it home without being half eaten. Fun times, lol.

(My personal fav is Rickey Ranch in Granite Bay.  Skip leg day if you go…the patch is vast & the hay bale tower is a must climb!)
