The leaves are done putting on a show. The days are shorter. The cozy socks are officially out. And I can feel a whisper, “Hey… it’s okay to rest.” So this season, I’m practicing a few things. Care to join me? I’m… ✨ Letting go of the things I tried to hold together on my own ✨ Making space for quiet, even if it’s just a few deep breaths ✨ Anchoring myself like roots digging deeper ✨ Choosing trust over pressure ✨ Giving myself grace when the growth isn’t visible yet Because just like the trees, I don’t need to constantly produce to be growing. Some of our BEST work is beneath the surface. I want to … …have slower mornings with warm tea …light a candle and actually be still …check in on the people that have been placed on my heart …and rest without feeling guilty (this is suppppper hard for the mom in me!) Every now and then, I’ll stumble across an old pho Every now and then, I’ll stumble across an old photo or memory and think… wow. I didn’t even notice myself changing while I was busy living. The thoughts I once carried so close, the dreams I was sure were “it”. When really, they were just stepping stones to the person I am right now (or who I am yet to become). It’s funny how we spend every single moment with ourselves and still miss the evolution happening quietly inside. Growth isn’t loud. It sneaks up on us, and then suddenly we look back and realize… I’ve lived so many versions of me in this same skin. I’ve let go, I’ve leveled up, I’ve rebuilt more times than anyone can see from the outside. I’ve grown into someone younger me dreamed of becoming…and I’m not done yet. I think it’s important to honor our past selves, the ones who got us this far. And to celebrate the next version we’re stepping into. She’s the kind of woman who still knows how to hav She’s the kind of woman who still knows how to have fun. She’s playful, quick-witted, and always up for an adventure. She finds joy wherever she goes and somehow spreads it like confetti. She walks fast (don’t let those tiny little legs fool you 😆), laughs loud, and loves even louder. She’s “Yaya” to her grandbabies, which might just be her favorite title yet and she spoils them with time, attention, and more giggles than they can handle. She gives of herself freely, pouring her heart into hospice work, showing up for others when they need it most, and somehow still having room to show up for us too. Her eyes see beauty in everything, her heart finds meaning in the smallest moments, and her spirit is unstoppable. So happy birthday the original burst of sunshine in our family forecast! Love you Momma! 🤟🏻
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves to just let Sometimes we have to remind ourselves to just let loose. To stop overthinking, stop striving, and just be. Be the girl who jumps into leaf piles without caring about the mess. Be the one who dances in the rain until her hair is drenched and her heart feels light again. Who laughs loud enough that the world knows joy still lives here. Because we only get to do this once. One wild, beautiful, imperfect life. And I don’t want to spend it worrying about how it looks.
