A new month starts tomorrow, and with it comes that mix of excitement (#birthdaymonth) and pressure (#crapanotheryearhaspassed) . A fresh start, but also the weight of what still feels unfinished.

✴️ It’s a catch 22 because this year, I’ve been trying to slow down. To give myself permission to rest—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. My mind, my soul… they need it.

✴️ Because the truth is, my mind is always running. Thoughts swirling, lists forming, expectations stacking. It’s tiresome.

So in April, I’m choosing to breathe, to be kinder to myself, and to remind myself that rest isn’t a reward—it’s a necessity.

🤲 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

There’s something magical about the bond between twin sisters. Yes, they are siblings, but it’s so much more than that. It’s an unspoken understanding, a built-in best friend, a forever kind of love.

Just like sisters, they are competitive. Like who gets to the front door first, battle of the most tenacious at that moment. 😉

But it’s not just sisterhood—it’s something deeper, something rare. A connection that started before they even took their first breaths and will last long after childhood fades.

I watch them play, giggling over inside jokes no one else would understand. I hear their whispered conversations at night, snuggled up in each other’s rooms, sharing dreams and secrets meant just for them. They lift each other up, challenge one another, and love with a grace that feels almost effortless.

Twinhood is special. Their bond is unbreakable. And I feel so lucky to witness it every single day.
