Why Do Home Inspections Matter, anyway?

You want to fall in love with a piece of property based on the color of the walls, the location of the home, maybe that big backyard pool BUT not be completely blind to the issues (like mold) that can make your dream home a nightmare, right? Yeah, well read on…

A home inspection is one of the most valuable tools in the home buying process. It allows you to examine the physical condition of a home or condo. When you’re touring properties with your Realtor® (hopefully that’s me), many of the property conditions on the surface can be obvious. Things like a crack in the floor tile or maybe a stain on the carpet.

But, we don’t always know how damage was caused or what to expect in the long run. A home inspection not only provides you with knowledge about the condition of the property, but it can be a safety net in your purchase agreement.

Queue in your trusted home inspector! (Don’t worry, I can connect you with a few!)

Home inspectors will get into the nitty, gritty details of the home – they scope out things like the exterior, the roof, the sewers, windows, doors, basements & attics, heating & cooling, plumbing, electrical, major appliances and even smells!

Home inspections should never be skipped! After all, you wouldn’t want to wake up from your sweet dreams only to be living in a nightmare!
